Hi,
I've just started playing with the mail classes and run into problems
with big mails. I've built mails with attachments using the Mail_mime
class. With attachments one mails is approx. 2.5 MByte of size.
Sending this mails works fine with Mail::factory('sendmail') but fails
with Mail::factory('mail') and Mail::factory('smtp').
Using Mail::factory('smtp') and looking at the MTA logs I found:
postfix/smtpd[11016]: connect from localhost[127.0.0.1]
postfix/smtpd[11016]: 8094C52: client=localhost[127.0.0.1]
postfix/smtpd[11016]: lost connection after RCPT from localhost[127.0.0.1]
postfix/smtpd[11016]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1]
I'm missing anything?
After looking at the source of the mail classes (I'm not sure if passing
variables by reference or value is the same as with C or using references
in PHP is good or poor coding style) the mailbody is passed by value. Might
this be a memory problem (memory_limit = 16M)?
