Hi,
Regarding transaction support I found this in the logs for the informix
driver. So this feature should be in the next release.
Revision : 1.11
Date : 2003/6/30 9:44:5
Author : 'cox'
State : 'Exp'
Lines : +64 -2
Description :
Added transaction capability to the ifx driver
(thanks to James Kaufman <jmk@kaufman.eden-prairie.mn.us>)
To the other issues:
It is always best to mail the mailinglist. This will increase the
chances if your patch getting noticed. Also keep in mind that Informix
is sort of "exotic" in the opensource world, so there are fewer people
available to test your database. Actually I think there currently is
nobody dedicated to Informix in PEAR atm nor do any of the core people
have an Informix database (correct me if I am wrong). So the need your
support all the more. However remember that opensource is mostly self
interest driven. So you may have to nudge us all the more. Finally take
into account that we may be doing other stuff (Tomas is working hard on
making the pear installer bug free ATM so this takes away from his time
to fixing and improving PEAR DB).
So I ask a bit more patience for you.
If you haven't done so already please mail your improvements in as
finely grained patches as possible to this list.
Regards,
Lukas
PS: if you can give us access to an Informix database this might also
improve your patch in getting attention.
