Folks, I'm really disapointed... I never thought that you would ignore a contribution, or refuse to comment some possible improvement. I'm working with PHP since version 2 and I had developed a lot of code with it, and really, I never thought that I could be ignored like this. I work with Informix/PHP for a long time (at least 5 years), fixing and helping to debug some PHP-Informix problems... I'm really very, very annoyed with this. The PEAR::DB implementation for Informix is, at best, *silly*. It doesn't support transactions, had problems with Informix BLOBs (TEXT and BYTE fields - which by itself is a great drawback) and doesn't support the getSpecialQuery method. I have skills to help the improvement of this class a lot, and the means to test it in a controled environment and/or a production one. The only thing that I was expecting was a word (or opinion) from it's maintainer or other developers for the possible integration of my code changes, as normal in the Open Source community. I had tried to contact Tomas V.V.Cox <cox@idecnet.com> with this patches four months ago, but I have no response from him, so I posted this original thread, and until now I got no response from the developers/maintainers of this package. Again, I'm waiting your comments... Juvenal A. Silva Jr. TR&D - Technology, Research & Development - V2 Systems "Juvenal A.
