I did a simple test today to compare the speed between PEAR::IMAP lib and
php's imap functions
I found that PEAR::IMAP is slower than imap_* functions.
Is it true ??? I just test list mailbox functions.
echo "<pre>";
$timer =& new Benchmark_Timer();
$timer->start();
$imap =& new Net_IMAP($host, $port);
$imap->login($user, $pass);
print_r($imap->getMailboxes(''));
$imap->disconnect();
//$mbox = imap_open("\{$host}", $user, $pass, OP_HALFOPEN) or die("can't
connect: ".imap_last_error());
//$list = imap_getmailboxes($mbox, "\{$host}", "*");
//while (list ($key, $val) = each ($list)) {
// echo str_replace("\{$host}", "", $val->name)."\n";
//}
//imap_close($mbox);
$timer->stop();
$timer->display();
