Hi Jean-Marc,
This is fixed in CVS and is a bug in the core of PEAR - you might want to simply grab a checkout of php-src/pear and then
$ pear upgrade php-src/pear/package-PEAR.xml
to get the fix.
Alternatively, you can copy the pear/PEAR directory to your own pear/PEAR directory (the contents are the same).
Regards,
Greg

Hello, I have set up a fresh PEAR installation. In the configuration page of the WebInstaller "Preferred Package State" is set to stable and on the "Install / Upgrade / Remove PEAR Packages" page I can see "PHPUnit 0.6.2". The problem is that when I try to install the lastest stable version of PHPunit (ie the 0.6.2 one) I got this error : ----------------------------------------------- downloading PHPUnit-1.0.0-alpha1.tgz ... ...done: 20,030 bytes PHP version >= 5.0.0 is required PHPUnit: Dependencies failed ----------------------------------------------- This shows 2 problems : - The web installer tries to install the lastest *beta* and not the latest *stable* version - The newest version of PHPUnit *only* supports PHP5 whereas it is not even in beta stage. This behaviour excludes almost all servers currently running and does it mean that we should not expect some updates for PHP 4.x ? Regards Jean-Marc
