Moebius,
Sorry to hear about your difficulties - Could you post a transcript of one of the unsuccessful attempts, and in addition the output of
$ php -v
Thanks,
Greg

Hopefully this is the correct way to submit a question to this mailing list. I'm trying to install PEAR on Mandrake 9.2. The distribution installs with PHP 4.4 (I believe) which should have it included, but there is no hint of PEAR anywhere on the system. I'm trying to run the go-pear.net script both by saving it as a PHP file and executing, or using Lynx. In both cases, the script runs, prompts for the directories, then downloads and appears to install the default packages. All items show as [OK] as the script executes. However, after completion, none of the PEAR files, or the binary install manager are on the system. At this point, I'm in the dark as to where to look. The script is being run as root, and I even opened permissions to everyone on the directories in question just to be sure, but to no avail. Any ideas? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now http://companion.yahoo.com/
