Hi Stefan/George
$pear bundle apc
gives you version 2.0 of apc, which, incidentally gave the same error message when I tried it with PHP 4.3.3
does anyone else know the highest version of PHP that apc will work with, is this perhaps a 'redhat entreprise', issue, ie, their latest distro? I noticed mandrake does an rpm of apc 2.0 for PHP 4.3.4 so someone's got it to work ;-) cheers Demian Stefan Neufeind wrote:'apc does not appear to be a valid Zend extension'

But anyway, I guess you will also here find some folks using apc or at least tried it.has anyone got apc working with PHP 4.3.4 on linux? I've tried it a few times on Linux Enterprise and i always get a 'apc does not appear to be a valid zend extension' message which turns up zero on google.Tried it several times but didn't succeed. The problem were other errors than you reported. Which version did you try? As far as I remember there was an old version available for quite a long time on the communitycommect-page. The current major release is only available in the pecl-archive. Maybe you could try and mail the maintainers also.also the site connected with apc, communityconnect.com, seems to be dead.Hmm - strange ... Hope it helps a bit. Regards, Stefan
