i don't understand how to use quickform for textarea. the following code doesn't work: $form->addElement('textarea', 'fieldname', 'fieldtext', array("rows"=>"5","cols"=>"50",'value'=>$testotop));// define textarea $form->addElement('textarea', 'fieldname', 'fieldtext', 'rows="5" cols="50"')); // more default values can go into this array $defaultValues['fieldname'] = $testotop; // set default values for your form $form->setDefaults($defaultValues); hth, Joerg
