Would you be so kind as to go to line 706 of your Archive/Tar.php, and change it from: @fseek($this->_file, @ftell($this->_file)+($p_len*512)); to @fseek($this->_file, ftell($this->_file)+($p_len*512)); and see if that gets rid of the segfault?
