As far as I know there are plenty of open bugs that desperately need to be fixed. Do you plan to completely rewrite the code, or fix the bugs maintaining the current structure? i need to take a closer look into the code - but at first i would try to fix most bugs before doing any rewriting ... (not making mistakes again leading to the same bugs ...) Are you familiar with the PEAR coding style? yes, i always (try to) follow PEAR coding standards on all my projects The last time I looked at phpmyadmin the code looked at bit random :) yes, yes, i know - but this should have changed in late - especially files edited by myself ... ;-) If you don't plan to rewrite the whole code, it'd be good if you would fix some of the bugs and attach a patch to them at the bugtracker. This way we could review them first, until we let you do it all on your own some time later. i will take a closer look into iti came across SQL_Parser and noticed it is abandoned, also it has LGPL as license what makes me wondering if i can take over the project
