Hi Helgi et al,
I was finally successful in getting the official blessing from the
recent maintainer of the package. He's being occupied with other things
and would like me to overtake his developments.
By the way: Is there any progress on revising my sent-in tracker items
<http://pear.php.net/bugs/12417> and <http://pear.php.net/bugs/12419>?
All the best,
Bastian

Hi Bastian, Please contact him if you can, perhaps he wants to be on this project given you help him, at least IMHO that's the best thing to do. - Helgi On 11/10/07, Bastian Onken <bastian.onken@gmx.net> wrote:Hi Christian, thanks for your reply. I've created both a feature request and a bug report for HTML_TagCloud and have attached appropriate patches. See #12417 and #12419. By the way, shall I contact the current maintainer and inform him about my intention (probably this has already been done?) or is this not necessary at all? I'm just wondering about why the package has been marked as 'not maintained'. My intention is to extend the existing sources with more functionality. I'm already using the sources of HTML_TagCloud in different projects and found out, that some things are missing essentially. Despite to that I would like to fix the open bug that is listed in the tracker for over 200 days by now.If you already have fixed some of the issues or implemented new things, please attach patches to the bugs on the bug tracker. If it's new things, open new feature requests and add the patches there. Announce them here. Once we see we can trust your coding, you'll get an account and can take over the package.
