Maintenance join request for package Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer

Hello! The PEAR Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer <http://pear.php.net/package/Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer> packages has been inactive development-wise quite alot of time. I tried mailing the maintainers of the package in the past but never got an answer. There are patches waiting to be incorporated which are around for more than 3! years. (for an example see this URL: http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=1572#1149063438 ). The package was in the past maintained by these persons: * Xavier Noguer <http://pear.php.net/user/xnoguer> (lead, inactive) * Mika Tuupola <http://pear.php.net/user/tuupola> (developer, inactive) As you can see both are inactive. I am the development lead for a big Open Source project (namely LimeSurvey, http://www.limesurvey.org , an Open Source survey software) and we are using the library inside our software to export results for older Excel versions. So I am interested very much to develop this package further, at least maintain it properly with the latest patches/fixes and I would like to get added as maintainer as this package. I have lots and lots of coding experience with PHP and would like to ask for permissione taking this one over (and maybe packages closely related to this where it makes sense). I have worked alot with PEAR libraries in the past and I am aware of coding standards and etiquette. If you have more questions about my person please let me know, I will be happy to answer.
