Hi everyone,
I'm Jag and I develop applications over the LAMP stack. I was looking to
create a PHP Shell, when a Google search led mere to PHP Shell.
Since this package is not up to date (the current release being 0.3.0 in
2006), I would like to take over its maintenance and bring it up to speed.
I have to admit, I've never maintained a package before, but I'm not new to
open source. I've open sourced my projects in the past and in that sense,
I've the motivation and the inclination to see things through here.
If I take over, my first priority would be to fix the pending issues / bugs.
Then I would update it to use PHP 5.3.1, followed by adding new features to
it.
I love PHP. It has pretty much all the functionality and ease of use offered
by Python and Ruby.
A real-time interpretor is one of the few missing pieces in the puzzle, and
I believe it would be very beneficial to have it.
I rest my case.
Thank you.
Regards,
Jagtesh
