Req #1742 [NEW]: Status should be set to "Assigned" when a bug is assigned

From: davey at php dot net Operating system: Irrelevant PHP version: Irrelevant Package: Bug System Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description: Status should be set to "Assigned" when a bug is assigned Description: ------------ When you assign a bug to a developer, the bug status should get set to "Assigned" if it was previously set to Open (and only if it was set to Open). I think we can safely assume that there is never a problem with this. Heck, should "Assigned" even be a status in and of itself?
