It´s not really "outdated" because people like Ulf Wendel
are always updating the lib to current features/functions
of the newer php releases. He also changed the file suffix
from .php3 to php for example :)
try running phplib with bware chache http://bwcache.bware.it/
and, phplib has more than just session support.
i think, with something like "PHP foundation Classes" in mind,
phplib is defently a thing to include here.
