I didn't follow this closely as I was told not to "waste my time on peclweb" when I did some minor updates in August 2010. But I agree: Major changes should be announced on the list. Additionally I find it strange when single parts move to git, while there is a migration project going on. I think this should happen in a similar way for all repos not each part in a different way. Additionally it seems that https://github.com/pierrejoye/peclweb/ seems to be owned by a single person, not the php user on github. johannes > ps: cross-posting to internals, as I think this issue needs more visibility. > > On Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 1:52 PM, Pierre Joye <pierre.php@gmail.com> wrote: > > > tyrael, > > > > it is really nice and shiny to see you posting everywhere about > > everything but there are times to chat and to work. > > > > When it is ready to move the wiki will be updated accordingly and we > > really do not need to waste our precious free time to argue with you, > > unless you actually do something in this area (and not leaving in the > > middle of the work like the last time) thanks. > > > > Cheers, > > > > On Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 1:40 PM, Ferenc Kovacs <tyrael@php.net> wrote: > > > > > > > > > On Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 1:32 PM, Pierre Joye <pierre.php@gmail.com> > > wrote: > > >> > > >> On Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 11:26 AM, Ferenc Kovacs <tyrael@php.net> wrote: > > >> > Hi Pierre, > > >> > > > >> > Could you elaborate on this? > > >> > > >> See previous mail on the list. peclweb as of now is frozen and won't > > >> change ever. > > > > > > > > > By "frozen" and "won't change ever" you referring to the svn > > > repo(web/pecl/trunk), right? > > > That means the the development of > > > http://pecl.php.net/ will happen > > > elsewhere, right? > > > I mean it is highly unlikely that the development on the site itself > > will be > > > frozen (it would no sense, and as I noticed you working on the site on > > > github). > > > > > > So if the development is active, but the svn repo is abadoned, my > > questions > > > are still not answered: > > > Whats the roadmap then? > > > Will you keep the peclweb development > > > there(https://github.com/pierrejoye/peclweb), or you will merge the > > changes > > > back to svn.php.net, or maybe move that repo under > > > http://github.com/php > > ? > > > > > > As I said, the wiki should be updated to reflect this, and it should > > > describe how can one contribute to the development of peclweb, as now it > > > will be different than the other sites. > > > > > > Tyrael > > > > > > > > -- > > Pierre > > > > @pierrejoye | http://blog.thepimp.net | > > http://www.libgd.org > > > > -- > > PECL CVS Mailing List > > To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php > > > >
