Hi, I have mailed some of these questions to Wez privately a while back, but I guess he never got around to answering them all. I have removed the ones he already cleared up and added a few more ... 1) are you sure you want to have PDO_FETCH_BOTH as default and not PDO_FETCH_NUM? 2) does it make sense to have fetchSingle() have this magic of returning either a string or an array instead of two separate methods one for single row and one for multi row result sets? 3) are you also going to introduce an RTRIM autoconvert option .. afaik ibase needs that 4) do you think it would make sense to convert empty strings on insert as well if PDO_ATTR_ORACLE_NULLS is set and prepared statements are used 5) in mdb[2] when you call $mdb->autoCommit(false) it starts an implicit transaction. after every call to $mdb->commit() or $mdb->rollback() the transaction is ended and a new implicit transaction is started. with $mdb->autoCommit(true) the implicit transaction is ended if one is still open. how does this relate to how things are done in pdo? 6) Does it make sense to have fetch() as part of the statement object instead of having result sets having their own class? regards, Lukas Smith
