I'm trying to reproduce my build environment for an extension im writing [1]
The extension is written in C++ (it wraps a library written in C++),
although there are 2 .C files in the project. I've followed Jay Smith's
tutorial, as well as other writeups on the web about setting things up.
it compiles without warnings but i get a huge amount of duplicate symbol
errors (LNK2005 and LNK4006). Most seem to be the math functions, although
functions from the standard library show up as well. these are repeated for
each compiled file.
in addition, it appears from the linker output that there are two sets of
libraries being complained about - the C++ as well as C libs (names are
manled _cdecl as well as C++ typesafe style). i suppose this means that ext
the library, extension and PHP itself are compiled with /MDd. i've tried
/NODEFAULTLIB with no success.
any pointers ?

[1] It worked fine under VC6 on my desktop, but some bastards broke in and
stole all my electronics over the holdidays. i'm working with a slightly
older version of the project.
