That was the problem.
I added the line
extension=bcompiler.so
to the file
/etc/php4/apache2/php.ini
and now it shows
bcompiler
bcompiler support enabled
bcompiler version 0.7s
current bytecode version 0.5
can parse bytecode version 0.3, 0.5
