I wanted to build my own 5.1.0RC1 on Windows, with support for PDO drivers for mysql and odbc (I know I could download prebuilt binaries but in principle I want my own debug build). Can anyone please tell me what configure options I need to get the PDO drivers to build, because I am not getting them right?
Attempt 1
With a freshly downloaded 5.1.0RC1 and a configure that looks like:
cscript configure.js
--with-extra-includes=..\libiconv\include;..\libxml2\include
--with-extra-libs=..\libiconv\lib;..\libxml2\win32\lib
--with-pdo-mysql
--with-pdo-odbc=ibm-db2
... I get the subject error during the link step:
Creating library Release_TS\php5ts.lib and object
Release_TS\php5ts.exp
mysql_driver.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol
_mysql_real_escape_string
Attempt 2
I tried adding --with-mysql to the options but that gets a compile-time error so I clearly don't know what I am doing here
ext\mysql\php_mysql.c(385) : error C2065: 'CLIENT_INTERACTIVE' :
undeclared identifier
BTW I would be pleased to move up to PDO1.0 RC1 but I saw getting this build to work as a necessary preliminary.
