I take that back, its not a session issue, its a serialize issue.. You can not insert using pdo query and serialized string that has been escaped.. I have tried addslashes and also mysql_escape_string and neither work.. Am submitting a bug report with more details Richard Thomas - CEO Cyberlot Technologies Group Inc. 507.398.4124 - Voice Richard Thomas wrote:
Its impossible to create in a few lines so I wanted some opinion here before I tried to submit a bug report. I will get it as small as I can. Richard Thomas - CEO Cyberlot Technologies Group Inc. 507.398.4124 - Voice Wez Furlong wrote:

Whats included in the PHP 5.1 RC6 package, althought I was using RC4 when I first ran into this problem and upgraded hoping it would fix it. Curt Zirzow wrote:

I am trying to translate Mysql based session method over to PDO and am getting some really weird results. I put a mail function to email me the serialized string and am getting savethis|i:99;twonow|a:4:{s:5:"comp1";s:5:"comp2";s:5:"comp2";s:5:"comp3";s:5:"comp3";s:5:"comp4";s:5:"comp4";s:5:"comp6";} But in the database I get savethis|i?;twonow|a?:{s?:"comp1";s?:"comp2";s?:"comp2";s?:"comp3";s?:"comp3";s?:"comp4";s?:"comp4";s?:"comp6";}
This looks like pdo_mysql is thinking that :99, :4, :5, should be paramaters for a bind statement. What version of PDO are you using? Curt.
