sqlite as a shared module, from a SPEC file 1. Get the source from http://pecl.php.net/package/SQLite 2. gunzip/untar into ext/ dir from PHP source 3. cd ext/sqlite ; phpize ; ./configure 4. back to php's root source dir, then ; buildconf --force ; ./configure --with-sqlite=shared 5. make, then PHP barfs steps 2 and 3 are made in my spec file, like this : bzip2 -dc $RPM_SOURCE_DIR/sqlite.tar.bz2 | tar -x -C ext/ -f - pushd ext/sqlite phpize ./configure popd If go directly in sqlite dir, and use phpize ; make ; make install, it works fine. However, I successfully build PHP with APC shared module, by using the same steps outlined above.
