Hi,
I would like to propose extension based on libmagic from file package ((bsd
licence. http://freshmeat.net/projects/file/
I know - there is already mimetype extension in php, but libmagic can also
return textual description of file and can simply give you more info. (for
example image resolution, mp3 version tag, etc).
I'm not sure about name - maybe fileinfo, filetype (as reference to mimetype)
or simply 'magic'.
