fann is fine. Category wise, Tools and Utilities is general enough that fann will fit, even if it isn't the closest match. I don't think we'll have too many ANN extensions, so it doesn't warrant a new category on its own. I'd suggest putting it into Tools and Utilities, and if anyone has a suggestion for a better category for this (or other extensions), they can mention it here. --Wez. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Evan Nemerson" <evan@coeus-group.com> To: "Wez Furlong" <wez@thebrainroom.com>; <pecl-dev@lists.php.net> Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2004 11:53 PM Subject: Re: [PECL-DEV] Proposal: FANN extension > As far as the name is concerned, is fann okay? > > Also, I don't really see an appropriate category- any suggestions? > > > > On Wednesday 31 March 2004 03:01 pm, Wez Furlong wrote: > > The license is compatible, and it would be pretty cool to use ANN from > > PHP; I can't see any reason to not allow the extension, so you might as > > well go ahead and apply for a PECL account. > > > > Since you have a sf.net setup, you don't need to have a PHP CVS account > > for the extension; you can use your PECL account to publish the extension > > on pecl.php.net. > > > > http://pecl.php.net/account-request.php > > > > --Wez. > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Evan Nemerson" <evan@coeus-group.com> > > To: <pecl-dev@lists.php.net> > > Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 8:49 PM > > Subject: [PECL-DEV] Proposal: FANN extension > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > I've been working on an extension to bring FANN to PHP.
