The easiest way is to have a pecl checkout in ..\ : c:\mybuilds |_ pecl |_ php_5_3 buildconf will then automatically use it. You can also put it where you wish and then do: buildconf --add-modules-dir=c:\mypecl About the pecl command, it never worked on Windows (to compile).
