Hi Pierre,
I won't mind changing the licensing, if building an extension can be useful for PHP developers.
Infact choosing a license was mandatory while project hosting and I chose GPL (no great intension while choosing GPL).
I would like to know what license change would mean?
Which license is best suited and what all are its pros-cons?
Also as a PHP user, will such an extension be useful at all? (I think it will be)
Cheers,
Abhinav

hi, We do not allow GPL in PECL (for GPL library or GPL extension). However we do accept: - PHP License, BSD (new) or Apache licenced extensions - for libraries licensed under lgplv2 (not v3, v2 or later) - for libraries under BSD or equivalent (MIT or apache license for example) - standalone ext, no dependency Please not that we do not choose to do so but the GPL (and equivalent) are not complatible with the PHP License (can't link against php licensed code).
