Request: Send a blank email to pecl-dev+get-6893@lists.php.net to get a copy of this message
and I got no negative feedback, so I think I can maintain my extension in pecl, hence I filled the request form. So where is a problem?
I don't see any reason to do it in C except to learn how to write a php extension. And we have the "demoext" for this exact purpose.
Yes, it's same reason as Alex. I answered, that I saw include path manipulation same way as extension works more times in user space code and and there is also comment in set_include_path http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.set-include-path.php#83188 (add, remove) which is also in extension. So it has to be implemented in C. I don't think that extension has some purpose as "demoext". But OK, I respect your decision - negative feedback from pecl lead :).
If other developers consider that we should accept this extension, then your requests (svn and pecl account) will be approved, but I don't think it is the case right now. Cheers,
M. Kubelik
