The PBMS client library uses the GNU GPL v2 license .
GPL is not compatible with the PHP License. It is not allowed to use a GPL library with a PHP licensed extension. Cheers,
You need an exception from the library developer, like the MySQL FOSS Exception for libmysql. In any case the library can't stay at php.net, only your extension, if you get this exception. Andrey
