mayb I ask if there's a good reason for APC 3.1.3p1 to be still tagged as beta in pecl close to one year after its release? My guess is that it's because of the PHP4 compatibility break, but of course there might be another reason.
The entire memory management was rewritten in apc-3.1.x branch.
I'm asking because I'm trying to get the Sourceguardian team to fix their loader extension to work with the latest APC, which is currently untested because it's still beta software. Bringing them proof that it actually is not might help me change their minds ;)
If you want to really throw your weight behind getting it to stable, I'd ask you to test the svn which I'm sort of polishing up to a 3.1.4 release (which I want to call "stable"). Though maybe, really it's just time for another Beta before I flip it over as stable. I want people to do some solid QA on it, because the unit tests barely qualify as real tests under load, which is where the stability really gets tested. Cheers, Gopal -- If I learn from my mistakes, pretty soon I'll know everything.
