Introduction, Drizzle PECL module

Hi, My name in Andrew Hutchings and I am a developer on the Drizzle project (http://drizzle.org/) at Rackspace. The GA release of Drizzle is currently aimed at around 4 weeks time and we really want to get some patches into the PECL drizzle module (http://pecl.php.net/package/drizzle/) to make it work again (it is not compatible with current libdrizzle code). We have tried to get in contact with the maintain but not had much response. So we were wondering if it was possible for us to maintain this module.
