(All of the examples seemed to work, at least, although I haven't gotten a chance to really play with it...) The test mp3 I used ('Hells Bells' by AC/DC for the truly curious) worked without a hitch. This isn't meant to be a challenge or a competition anything, but if it's of any use, I've put up the code I did at: http://bugs.tutorbuddy.com/versions/id3-php One thing I like that your extension does that mine never did (and probably never will) is using PHP's streams for reading/writing. Mine just uses whatever id3lib uses, which kind of sucks because it doesn't seem nearly as clean. Seeing this new extension kind of motivates me to actually try making PHP streams play nice with id3lib... The code I've posted actually isn't really of much use as far as the actual reading and writing of id3 tags goes as all of that is done in id3lib, it's really more of a comparison point, I guess. Just another way of doing things, really. I figured it might be useful if only for that. Anyway, like I say, I'm not posting this as a challenge or anything. I don't really have any plans to actually do a proper release, just thought I'd post a different implementation to maybe spark some new ideas. J
