put it into the extension (see my html_parser extension in PECL) and nag me every day to finally fix the phpdoc configure scripts to scan PECL source for DocBook subdirs ...
Then what's about pecldoc? :) I will hate to co the whole pecl docs ;)
the idea is to have code and documentation in the same place so you just check out the sources that you need/want plus phpdoc then you configure phpdoc and tell it where to find the PECL source dir and to only build the PECL reference manual configure will scan your PECL dir, fetch every documentation stuff it finds and create a manual with exactly that choice a complete PECL manual can obviously be created by doing this on a complete PECL checkout i have this stuff ready somewhere, i just have to find out where and make it ready for CVS commit PS: in an ideal world we would also finaly have the split between phpdoc infrastructure/tools and actual content so that you can use the same tool setup and stylesheets for phpdoc, peardoc pecldoc gtk-dok ... but with all of these manuals being modified forks of the original stuff being separated a long time ago it will become a nightmare project to merge all the independent changes applied to any of theese back into one codebase ... :/ -- Hartmut Holzgraefe <hartmut@php.net>
