PHP-4.0.4 is about to be released, and this patch to its ltconfig
to fix compilation on OpenBSD is required, but hasn't received
adequate testing (i.e., only I've tested it)
Zero feedback from the PHP-QA team (several of whom run OpenBSD),
so I'm hoping that the ports@openbsd.org team will be able to test
it out.
I just posted a report yesterday about successful build on OpenBSD 2.6
i386 without any special patch.
Therefore, for future backwards compatibility, if your patch is needed
for OpenBSD >2.6, I applied your patch and tested it on my platform (2.6):
1. applied patch to ltconfig
2. Ran ./configure --enable-discard-path --with-mysql --with-dbase
--enable-yp --enable-ftp --enable-trans-sid --enable-sockets
--enable-track-vars --enable-inline-optimization
3. Ran make
4. builds ok with usual sockets warning :)
5. Seems to run fine
In another test, I also ran ./buildconf after having applied your patch
to ltconfig as I don't know autoconf much and wasn't sure if this extra step was needed or not. :) Everything went fine and it built correctly.
