Hi,
I installed PHP4.0.5-RC1(from www.php4win.de) on IIS5 using ISAPI. It works for simple scripts, but it gives A LOT of problems for complex codes, blank screen, access violation message, missing functions, etc, on my Window 2000 Server SP1/Japanese. It also works really slow. (I can see characters are written one bye one on my browser)Hm, I never tried out ISAPI myself, but I heard people telling that ISAPI works ok. - byte by byte characters really is bad, it should not be as bad.
Question is: Should I report these problems or ISAPI is considered as alpha quality(?), so I should forget about it?If you are able to reduce your code to reveal the underlying problems (specific functions, combinations of functions etc.) then there is hope to get these bugs fixed. If not already reported you should report any bugs...
I haven't used PHP on Windows much, yet. If I use PHP on Win and report these problems, I'm sure it will be a long lists. Am I only one getting a lots of problems with IIS5+ISAPI?I can tell you that CGI and Apache works with few flaws, though I'd not use it in production as a real server (be it production or not) with multiple simultaneous accesses. andré -- · André Langhorst t: +49 331 5811560 · · andre@php.net m: +49 173 9558736 · * PHP Quality Assurance http://qa.php.net *
