I found out that it was a programming error on our part. A forgotten "/" prevented the file to be found.
And the error_reporting was too low too notice that. Huh.
The surprise came when under 4.0.7RC1 PHP spit a Warning as I didn't change anything in the configuration.
But ! Reading the phpinfo() I found that config_file_path was changed (I used a script for configuring, and not the right script ;-\.
That's how I came to believe in a PHP error.
So, after all, i feel really shameful. PHP is not in cause for anything. Even, for it comes with "harder" error_reporting, it helped me find a bug in our intranet code =8)
What is the default error_reporting ? (When no value has been defined ?)
So, please disregard this funky alert about dirname(). It's behaving correctly, my coders don't !
