I found out that it was a programming error on our part. A forgotten "/" prevented the file to be found. And the error_reporting was too low too notice that. Huh. The surprise came when under 4.0.7RC1 PHP spit a Warning as I didn't change anything in the configuration. But ! Reading the phpinfo() I found that config_file_path was changed (I used a script for configuring, and not the right script ;-\. That's how I came to believe in a PHP error. So, after all, i feel really shameful. PHP is not in cause for anything. Even, for it comes with "harder" error_reporting, it helped me find a bug in our intranet code =8)
No harm done :)
What is the default error_reporting ? (When no value has been defined ?)
The default error reporting is E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE - or, in other words, all types of errors and warnings, except for notices. Zeev -- Zeev Suraski <zeev@zend.com> CTO & co-founder, Zend Technologies Ltd. http://www.zend.com/
