If you did not follow these discussions, perhaps you did not miss much. :) Seriously, some good suggestions and useful discussion did come out of the exit thread - I would guess that the exit issue will sort itself out this week with either a decision to overload exit or introduce sys_exit (as smartly suggested by Jason Greene). :) Also, Andi made a *very* sensible suggestion regarding all of the recent discussions on the list: > P.S. - Just a small suggestion. The function would read the header information from a dBase file and return it. REQ: Support for MSSQL Trusted Connections A user has requested that support for trusted connections be added to PHP's MSSQL extension. To keep track of the status of this request, visit http://bugs.php.net/14564 REQ: Support for Extra Date Format in strtotime() A user has requested that an additional format (Dec 17 19:30) be supported by the strtotime() function. To review the feature request, visit http://bugs.php.net/14561 FIX: Return Type of floor()/ceil() Derick Rethans has corrected the return values of both the floor() and ceil() functions. Each now returns a value of the type float in all cases. This change corrects bug http://bugs.php.net/14646 REQ: Function/Feature Conformance Tests Zak Greant has requested that sets of conformance tests be implemented. These tests would be used to automatically track when functions and features change behavior. The intest of the tests is to help developers maintain existing applications. View the feature request at http://bugs.php.net/14615 FIX: Improved Safe Mode for File Functions Christoph Kassen has submitted a patch that improves the Safe Mode support for the file functions. The patch was committed by Derick Rethans. FIX: New Optional Behavior for preg_grep() Andrei Zmievski has added a new flag parameter for preg_grep(). The only flag that can currently be set via the new parameter is PREG_GREP_INVERT. If this flag is set, preg_grep will only return entries that do not match. NEW: isxfunc Extension to Support MicroSoft Index Server Frank M. Kromann has added a new extension that allows PHP to query MicroSoft Index Servers. The next extension is currently available as part of PEAR/PECL and can only be built on Windows systems. The changes include a code cleanup, an example script showing how to use the extension and the addition of the msession_call() function. msession_call is not yet documented in the PHP code.
