Greetings!

Hello all, I just saw the new RC on php.net and, since I couldn't get 4.1.2 to compile, decided to download it. I looked into the RELEASE_PROCESS file and read a bit (a few typos here and there btw ;) and learned about the QA Team. Anyways, I visited the site and noticed the "wanted sign" for OSX folks. Well, I'm offering you my services as a qa tester for OSX if you'd like. It said to introduce myself, so... My name's Gabriel Ricard, I live in Essex, Ma. USA and I've been using PHP since around late 99, early 00. I was only playing around with it then, and at that time I was mainly into C and Perl. Since then I've come to use PHP primarily and I now work for a local Re/Max Real Estate agent developing an extranet/web application for Re/Max realtors. Currently our production system is a bunch of G4 Macs running OSX/Apache/MySQL/PHP and it works wonders for us. My boss is constantly amazed by what we are able to do with PHP. I think it's pretty cool myself. ;) I'm not a wonderful C coder or anything but I know my way around the language, the GNU compiler suite and such ok. (I just wish I had a copy of the book on autoconf though...) So, there you have it, or me rather. - Gabriel Ricard
