hi all,
here's my fifth status-report.
best regards,
georg
TIME SPENT:
about 40 hours
HIGHLIGHT:
The integration of the scheduler-prototype in the runtests-project. Seeing
how more than 9000 tests are running parallel in 64 processes is a nice
thing. :) Needless to say that there is still a lot of work to do, but this
was definitely a major step in my project.
KEY CONCERNS: -
WAITING FOR: -
KEY TASKS THAT STALLED: -
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENT:
- Integrated the taskScheduler-prototype in the run-tests project.
- Created an outputWriter which is able to store the test-results in many
formats, such as txt, cvs, xml, html, ... I'm not completely finished so
far, there are still some features to implement.
- Refactored the screen-output. This allows the user to define the
detail-level of the output during the test-execution. In addition to that,
also a short overview is shown at the end.
- Minor improvements and bugfixes of the taskScheduler.
- Making some significant performance-tests and comparisons on different
machines (2-, 4- and 8-core).
MY TODOS:
- Finalizing the outputWriter, which means to implement the missing
format-options and to handle the output-files (diff, exp, ...).
- Debugging the test-execution. There are still some differences between the
old and the new run-tests regarding to their results. This issue needs our
attention anyway.
