Perhaps this is a good indication that the widely used PHP prewritten script should be modified for PHP 4. uh huh, and when you devise a method of contacting and motivating every program written in php please do so :)email **might** just do the trick ;) Seriously, you are right - it will be hard to get every app out there rewritten. However, converting an app to use .php instead of .php3 (and cleaning up any 3 -> 4 inconsistencies) should not be terribly difficult. - zak
I use php on Linux/apache, but I still have .php3 bound to php because of phpMyAdmin and php-lists, and even though these have recent releases they have not been converted to the .php extension. I'd love to modify it and exclude .php3 from my configuration but I simply don't have time, and it's much easier to use. I don't think Zeev is being open minded about this, there are many people with NT production machines using php, and it makes absolutely no difference to me since I don't, but it's easy to recognize the needs of average NT users, and even NT administrators.Joshua
