Maybe we could get a nice xml content system going so that it

Why not use a database backend (mysql?) and php templates?
i mean, this IS the php QA team :)
i've build a 100% tempated database driven site so that people who need to
edit webpages (it's a schoool, department heads and such) who also have no
clue what <br> means can do so and have no problems. Why wouldn't the same
work for us? it would also allow certain people to maintain all the page
content, without needing cvs access and things of that nature.
