I have asked Brad how is going php-soap and he told me that there will be
stable release this October (if I am wrong, Brad please correct me). He and
Shane work on the extension. Shane works on interoperability tests.
However if you need this you can install the module without any problems. I
did it several times. If you ask about stability I will tell you that even
it is in alpha stage it is quite stable(my bachelor thesis used it to the
bones). I've used it more than 2 months and found 2 or 3 bugs that I
reported and was fixed instantly.
Regards,
Andrey
