* WSDL support (generated) is currently not in the PEAR::SOAP
implementation
- When or will this be available
When I or someone else has time to do it.
Side question: What is the current relation (and future relation) of the PEAR::SOAP, NuSoap and the native implementation from Brad ?
Nothing realy. PEAR::SOAP and Brad's implementation will hopefully stay very close in api and have some interoperation between them, but as neither of us have had the time we wanted to spend on it, that has not happened yet.
Actually and I'am trying to figure out all the necessary information on PEAR::SOAP to set up some kind of cook-book, starting with an easy client, to a complex server with samples of interoperation between PHP, .NET and Java. That's where all the questions come from..
Look at pear/soap/tools/genproxy.php. This can be used to generate clients. I usualy modify the generated client to better suite what I need. Look at pear/soap/example, there are a handfull of examples there, including one covering Amazon and the use of objects with pear::soap (if you checkout from cvs). If you (or anyone) want to document pear::soap and add it to the pear documentation that would be appreciated, and I can help with any questions.
+ How is the WSDL binding arranged and how does it function
Not quite clear on what you are asking.
+ What are the benefits of implementing an "__dispatch($method)"
method
in the Service ?
You don't mean method do you? I'm certain you mean the dispatch property. The dispatch property allows you to define via php code in and out arguments for functions. While it's not necessary to use it, if you are not using wsdl in teh server, it's the only way to define multiple out arguments on a function call. Shane
