Right.Sorry, both HTTPS and HTTP-Auth are in pear::soap, and HTTPS is in pecl::soap ... is that what you are saying?- requests over HTTPS - requests with HTTP authentication (or is there a more standard, yet still simple, authentication method for SOAP apps?)That is in pear::soap, and Wez recently added https to pecl/soap, not sure about auth in pecl/soap.
There are minor differences in the api, but Brad and I have talked about maintaining a very close api so that switching can be simple, and possibly done with a wrapper. Right now there is more functionality in pear:soap than in pecl:soap, so what you need may make the decision for you. ShaneI probably should've worded my question differently. Is pecl::soap basically the "same" implementation of pear::soap but as a built-in extention? If I start developing my app with pear, can I simply switch to the pecl extension if I need/want the performance boost? Or do they have different user-land function calls? Also, how much overlap is there between PEAR::SOAP and PECL::SOAP?Little at this time, I was hoping to have more overlap, but I (and probably Brad) haven't had the time to work on soap that would be required to get some major stuff done.
