Hi guys,
I started to review the published grammar for PHP LangSpec and I found
several minor issues to be addressed. I know our intention is to use
http://bugs.php.net , but I couldn't see anything already
configured to
start reporting bugs, and my only option I see for now is to work on actual
solutions through PRs to gain visibility.
Wouldn't be better to enable issues on Github php-langspec repo to allow
faster, easier bug submission?
I feel navigating through bugs.php.net overly confusing for something that
is somehow not entirely part of php.net itself.
PS: As a simple grammar issue example, this code is allowed by the spec
grammar:
<?php foo: "bar" ?>
Followed grammar (in EBNF format):
*script = [ script ] , script-section ;**script-section
= [ text ] , { "<?php" , statement-list , [ "?>" ] } ;*
*statement-list = [ statement-list ] statement*
* ;*
*statement = compound-statement | labeled-statement
| expression-statement | *
*selection-statement | *
*iteration-statement | jump-statement |
**declare-statement | *
*const-declaration | **function-definition | *
*class-declaration
|*
*interface-declaration | trait-declaration |
**namespace-definition **| namespace-use-declaration*
*| global-declaration | *
*function-static-declaration ;**labeled-statement = named-label |
case-label | default-label* ;
*named-label = name , ":" , statement* ;
Cheers,
