Hi Larry, I did not read most of your post in detail yet, not due to not being interested but rather to answer one key part. On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 3:46 AM, Larry Garfield <larry@garfieldtech.com> wrote: > Well, apparently no one invited Drupal to this party, so forgive me for > jumping in anyway. :-)  I only just found out about it from Planet PHP. I would wish that people read the threads on this list before posting but well. Drupal was not "invited" because no one from Drupal was at php|tek. It was hard to invite anyone outside of the conference to this meeting due to is spontaneousness - That is around 4pm the day prior bunch of people were sitting in the hotel lobby and suddenly someone goes "hey lets gather the framework leads at the conference into one room and lets discuss this" and things snowballed from there into this group. So it's not that we didn't want Drupal but Drupal had no one there and we had not created any process to accept new people or new ideas / additions to what was decided on. As I said before in previous email is that the lid on this one came of too quickly. This email is also meant for other people that come to this list and ask "Why wasn't project X included" - Well granted it they read the backlog :-) Just give us a little bit more time while we regroup and we should be able to come up with something that allows people to propose new changes and become a part of the group as a project representatives. My hope is that said process will go into a RFC and accepted by the community or at least people coming by here. Regards Helgi
