recursive templates

Howdy,
Will this template engine do recursive parsing of templates to build a
page?
I want to be able to write 1 php script that handles all of my templates
without having to
know the template heirarchy prior to parsing the templates. I'm using
FastTemplate now,
and the problem I have with it now is, when I write a script that uses
it, I have to already
know the entire template tree to know where to get the values/files to
fill in the template
variables. So, if I add a new template variable, I have to change the
the parsing script
to handle it.
I want to be able to have 1 script that handles all templates. The
template variables can be filled
in by included php code, or modules.
Does this make any sense?
