After having spent many days trying to figure things out,
I would like to submit a couple of things:
1. If you decide to download the latest PHP4 version from the CVS,
you should really do this, before compiling it with IMAP support:
in the PHP4 source tree, edit ext/imap/imap.c and
insert: PHP_FALIAS(imap_listsubscribed,imap_lsub, NULL)
just above: PHP_FALIAS(imap_getsubscribed,imap_lsub_full, NULL)
it adds support for a deprecated function that IMP uses. Maybe
the call in imp.lib should be updated as well.
2. In trying to compile ldap support into PHP4, and link it with
Apache 1.3.11 on Solaris 7, I found out I had to include the
following libraries by hand, in order to get Apache to compile
with the ldap symbols:
For ldap PHP support, add the following to src/Configuration.tmpl:
EXTRA_LIBS=-lldap -llber
./configure (again)
Thanks for all the help, I wish it could have been easier,
but I now realize the effort that goes into all this work.
