Following the detailled instruction from INSTALL I compiled succesfully php (3 or 4) and make install (in the apache module directory). Then apache compilation aborts with the following : ===> src/modules/php4 gcc -c -I../../os/unix -I../../include -I/usr/local/src/mysql/include -DLINUX=2 -I/usr/local/src/php -I/usr/local/src/php/libzend -I/usr/local/src/php/libzend -I/usr/local/src/php -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I../../lib/expat-lite ../../apaci -fpic -DSHARED_MODULE mod_php4.c && mv mod_php4.o mod_php4.so-o make[4]: *** No rule to make target `libmodphp4-so.a', needed by `libphp4.so'. Stop. make[3]: *** [all] Error 1 make[2]: *** [subdirs] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/apache_1.3.11/src' make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/apache_1.3.11' make: *** [build] Error 2 It happens either under Suse 6.3 Linux or Redhat 6.1 Linux machines Thanks for any help !
