Great, I'll build a new version and run some tests.

Please, I'm not asking for patch -R !!
But I run 4 large machines with > 1200 VHosts on each. Beta 2 works
apart from the parent-pid crashes and some minor glitches one can
live with. After Mid-Dec I've found no useable CVS-version and I've
tried at least 15. Sascha also told me that beta 3 and the latest
CVS-versions were so much better, but that doesn't help me, they
crash and cause very strange behaviour with mysql.
As an example I can tell you that today - trying "16-feb-CVS" -
users started reporting repeated problems with mysql stuff.
On one of the servers MySQL went more or less berzerk reporting
that every table was corrupted. On another server the MySQL-server
started crashing randomly. On a third server apache started
segfaulting on .jpg requests and stuff. What can I say, it
simply doesn't work. Switching back to beta 2 made everything
work normally again.
Please believe me, I'm not trying to pick a fight, I just
want PHP4 to work well. Tell me what I can do to help apart from
continuing to produce feedback on the different versions.
All the very best and with _all respect for your work and knowledge_,
